1986

Post Punk Goth 4 piece rock band. Recorded in The Engine Room. No Life was a band I never intended to form. I had disbanded Deadbeat and was quite content being without a band for a while as I had just become a father and was enjoying that experience more than being a musician. In fact, it was never my intention to be a musician. I preferred studio work and was seriously desiring to be a music producer/arranger/writer. However, since I had made impressions on the local music scene with Deadbeat, I was approached by a man who called himself Pis (a very talented bassist). He convinced me to form this band. I knew of Mungo Dobbie as a average guitarist but a good drummer. We then auditioned for a lead guitarist and found Gord Disley. The band only lasted 7 months. I left the band after the 1st Varoshi Fame concert at The Diamond Club. Varoshi Fame seemed like a better choice. There were many voices of opposition. But that simply made me more resolute in my decision.

One interesting note: Gord Disley went on to become a stand-up comedian - a rather good one at that.
